Junk Mail Concerns VOTERS in the upcoming local government elections have been reminded to look for their voting papers after reports of people mistaking them for junk mail. Local Government Relations minister Jennifer Rankine said she was concerned at reports of election material being dismissed as irrelevant. Anyone who has accidentally thrown out or lost their ballot paper can contact the State Electoral Office on 1300 655 232. Dear Fellow Ratepayer,
My name is Gary Johanson and I am advising you that I am running for the position of Mayor of Port Adelaide/Enfield at the forthcoming election.
As a husband and father of three young children, I can identify, and bring an insight to Council of the family needs in our community today.
It is my belief that I can also offer to you the ratepayer of the community, a strong leader who will work towards unity within the Council, thus moving forward, ensuring the ability to better serve the greater community.
As a local and small business owner/employer, I will bring to Council an understanding of the needs and requirements of the small business operator. Support of local business is vital and such an integral part of the future growth of our community.
I have a dedicated commitment towards Clubs, Charities and Organisations throughout the Port Adelaide/Enfield Community, and will continue to be empathetic to these groups/organizations in the years to come.
I stand alone and am 'NOT' aligned to, or with, any faction, group or individual within Council, and/or nominee campaigning for a position on Council. It is my wish that preferential voting will be the choice of the residents of the community, and not that of allied groups/bodies.
